Fifteen (shortened)
I had to shorten my original three minute music video to ninety seconds. This was difficult for me because since this is a very slow song I had to cut parts out and edit different parts together so that it could tell more of a story within ninety seconds. I also didn't have room for a lot of the original clips I used so I had to get rid of them. This also made editing very challenging because those clips helped give more flow to the video. I used an exstensive use of fading effects to make the video appear as if different scenes are happening in different days and times but it still did not have the same flow as my original video did. Also, I had to shorten many clips, which makes it hard to distinguish them and process them before they move to the next clip. Overall, I thought my video ended up to be very rushed and a little awkward for the story telling aspect. I am fairy satisfied, though, with how I edited the song to make it suitable for a minute and thirty second video.
