This semester I learned many things about editing. I learned
how to make music videos, how to add voice-overs, the six shot sequence, and
many other things. I learned how to shoot good shots and put them together in a
way that flows and tells a story. I think the most important things I learned
this year were the six shot sequence, filming, when to transition clips, and
how to tell a story. I personally did not like the backpack journalism project.
My favorite project was making music videos. I will apply pretty much
everything I learned in this class to future use.

Lego video
With this project I had to film somebody using Legos and add
voiceovers that went with the story. Some aspects about this project I enjoyed
was editing the footage and selecting the best clips to use. One thing I found
challenging with this project was filming without a tripod. It is hard to keep
the camera still and it makes your arms very tired after filming for ten
minutes straight or more. I feel like that kind of puts pressure on the person
building the Legos to build them as fast as they can to be more convenient for
the person filming. And just in general, it was a bit uncomfortable being
filmed while building the Legos. Maybe just for me because I am not particularly
good at this activity. I personally find this project very tedious, despite how
short it is. Overall, though, I am happy with how my video turned out, and from
how much I have learned from this project.
